who is rumtumtiggs, work with me, tami magninAbout Rumtumtiggs: To paraphrase a rather awesome Alanis Morissette song, I’m a wife, I’m a lover, I’m a child, I’m a mother…who has a WIDE range of interests. Don’t believe me? Well, I qualified as a multimedia designer, worked in customer services for online casinos for 5 years, then I worked in Communications (within government for 5 years) before moving to a more social development focused role for a further 6 years.

Why work with me?

My readers are incredibly important to me. I will not lie to them and I am careful about what I promote. They trust me and I refuse to read them astray. This means that all my posts are heartfelt and honest. I rarely publish negative posts on products because this is my “happy place”. If you would like feedback on what I thought of a media drop, let me know. I usually post pictures of what I love on my social media accounts. If I don’t love it, I won’t post about it. I don’t see any value in being a person who gushes about EVERYTHING.

I am a real person. So I don’t spend R2k on a pair of jeans. I run a home on a single income and I keep my husband and 2 kids happy and healthy. My audience is made up of people like me. The money always runs out long before the month does, so my blog will always reflect the more reasonable, affordable approach.

Personal contact will always be more well received than press releases and I would prefer to work with you to roll out your strategy. I have loads of interests so let’s chat about how we can work together.

Please don’t send me a press release about an event without inviting me/offering tickets to the event. I can hardly promote it honestly if I don’t have the means or incentive to go myself. Weekend invitations need to include myself, my husband and my 2 children (aged 9 & 12) where possible as family time is very important to me.

Every engagement will be considered on its merits and I will always help where I can.

Hi Terry, thank you for your support (here and on Twitter) and that lovely compliment. Cook books are quite overdone in the food blogging community and if I ever do put one together it will be an ebook. I’m still a long way off that stage though but I will definitely look into it ;). Keep well xx

[…] Food is part of a lifestyle isn’t it? Can someone be a food blogger without it infringing on lifestyle blogging? I don’t think so. I’m a mom but I don’t really post about parenting specifically. It comes through every now and then a but I don’t make my kids the topic of my posts in the interest of their privacy. The internet is FOREVER people! For more about Tami view her contact page. […]
